CS2 Viewmodel Generator
Move the sliders and get a ready-to-paste console line plus an autoexec.cfg block with the same weapon position.
How we calculate
Four commands control where your weapon sits. viewmodel_fov (54 to 68) sets how wide the “camera” sees the weapon model. viewmodel_offset_x (−2.5 to 2.5) moves it from the screen centre towards the edge, viewmodel_offset_y (−2 to 2) brings it closer to the camera or pushes it away, and viewmodel_offset_z (−2 to 2) lowers or raises it.
The generator clamps every value to those limits and rounds to hundredths, so you never paste a command the game would reject. Left hand in CS2 is set with cl_prefer_lefthanded true — CS:GO’s old cl_righthand command does not exist here. To swap hands quickly, you can bind the switchhands command to a key.
The diagram above the commands is not a game screenshot but a rough sketch: it only shows where and how strongly each slider moves the weapon. The exact look depends on the weapon and your resolution, so do the final check in game — the commands apply instantly, no restart needed.

Questions and answers
What are the best viewmodel settings?
There is no single answer: it comes down to habit and how much of the screen you are willing to give to the weapon. The “Maximum view” button sets the widest FOV and pushes the weapon as far into the lower corner as possible, so it covers the least of your view. Fine-tune from there.
How do I play left-handed in CS2?
Type cl_prefer_lefthanded true in the console — that makes left hand your default. To swap hands during a match, bind the switchhands command to a key; the generator adds that bind when you enter a key.
Why doesn’t the generator offer the game presets (viewmodel_presetpos)?
None of our sources give the exact offset values behind those presets, and we won’t make them up. Instead there are two starting points derived directly from the commands’ allowed limits.
Where do I paste the commands so they stick?
The console line applies immediately but only until you restart the game. To keep the settings, paste the block into your autoexec.cfg — you can build one with our autoexec generator.
