GTA Online Money Goal Planner

Enter your GTA$ goal, current balance and how many hours a day you can play — the planner works out GTA$/hour for every business and heist you pick, how many hours/days/runs are left, and which activity currently pays best.

The per-run heist time is your own estimate, not a sourced figure: sources don't publish a "typical" completion time, because it depends too much on crew skill and route.

Business GTA\$/hour is shown at fixed "best-case" settings (everything upgraded, supplies bought, selling outside Los Santos) — the same ones used in the Business Profit Calculator's comparison table. For finer control (stealing supplies, local sales), use that calculator instead.

The model only accounts for one limited resource — hours per day — so it's mathematically best to put everything into the highest GTA$/hour activity. Heist cooldowns, required capital and just not wanting to grind one thing are not modeled here.

Where the source gives a payout range (e.g. Cayo Perico secondary loot), the "per run" figure used is the midpoint of that range.

You can currently add ONE heist scenario at a time, alongside any number of businesses. Comparing several different heists at once isn't supported yet.

The Diamond Casino Heist figure is the maximum vault payout (Cash/Artwork/Gold/Diamonds) BEFORE deducting the support crew's cuts (hacker/gunman/driver): the source doesn't publish those cuts, so the planner doesn't subtract them. Your real GTA$/run per player will be lower.

How we calculate

Business GTA\$/hour comes from the same core as the Business Profit Calculator, at fixed "best-case" settings: everything upgraded, supplies bought, selling outside Los Santos ×1.5, and for the Nightclub, full popularity with upgraded technicians. That's not a new number — it's the same verified profitPerHour, just gathered into one list instead of separate cards.

For heists, sources give no per-run duration — it depends too heavily on crew skill and route to reduce to one "typical" figure. So that field is yours to fill in: the planner divides the payout per run (from the same core as the Heist Payout Calculator) by the hours you enter.

Hours/days/runs remaining = (goal − balance) divided by GTA\$/hour or GTA\$/run. Since the only limited resource in this model is hours per day, it's mathematically best to spend all of them on the ONE activity with the highest GTA$/hour among the ones you picked — that's the one flagged as best, and the table below shows the rest for comparison.

Questions and answers

Where does the per-run heist time come from?

You enter it yourself. The sources we use for payout amounts don't publish a typical completion time — it depends too much on crew skill and route — so instead of inventing a figure, we divide the payout per run by the hours you supply.

Why doesn't a business's GTA$/hour match what I see in-game?

This shows profit at fixed "best-case" settings: everything upgraded, supplies bought, selling outside Los Santos. If you play differently (stealing supplies, selling locally), your real number will differ — finer controls live in the separate Business Profit Calculator.

Why does the planner only recommend ONE activity?

Because this model only accounts for one limited resource — hours per day — not capital, cooldowns or crew availability. Under those assumptions, putting everything into the highest GTA$/hour activity is mathematically optimal, so that one gets flagged as best. The rest stay in the table for comparison.

Can I compare two different heists at once?

Not yet — you can add one heist scenario per calculation (plus any number of businesses). To compare heists against each other, change the scenario's settings and see how GTA$/hour changes.

What does "Repeats to goal" mean for a business?

The number of production cycles (rounded up) you need to finish to reach the amount — the same idea as "runs" for a heist, just a different unit.
