Does WoW: Forever support your graphics card

Enter your graphics card model. We show whether the game launches at all and whether the card meets the minimum.

Write it any way you like: “GeForce GTX 1060”, “gtx1060”, “Radeon RX 580”.

Examples named by Blizzard itself:

Enter a graphics card model above.

There are two thresholds and they are easy to confuse. The first is architectural: the game either launches or it does not. The second is the minimum system requirements, and it sits noticeably higher. Blizzard says outright that its own examples of compatible cards stay well below the minimum.

We compiled the list of models ourselves; the rule comes from Blizzard’s official post. If your card is missing, that is not a verdict — it only means we have not added it.

How we calculate

Blizzard set the requirement against the graphics microarchitecture rather than specific models: you need AMD Graphics Core Next 1 (2012), NVIDIA Maxwell (2014), Intel Skylake (2015) or newer. The reason is technical — the game relies on a capability that arrived in graphics cards around 2012.

Because of that rule, the model number guarantees nothing. The 2014 GTX 750 Ti passes while the more powerful GTX 780 does not, because it sits on an older architecture. Blizzard named both cards itself, so this is not our reading. Pairs like that are exactly why this tool exists.

We keep a list of models with their architectures and recompute the verdict from the rule every time. When a row has two possible chips that give different answers, the tool says “undetermined” instead of guessing and telling some people the opposite of the truth.

The second threshold is the minimum system requirements: GeForce GTX 10 series for NVIDIA, RDNA 1 for AMD, Iris Xe2-LPG for Intel integrated graphics. It is higher than the architectural one, which is why “will launch” and “meets the minimum” appear as separate lines.

Questions and answers

Why does the old GTX 750 Ti pass while the stronger GTX 780 fails?

Because the requirement is about architecture, not speed. The GTX 750 Ti is built on Maxwell, which Blizzard set as the cut-off, while the GTX 780 is on the older Kepler. Both cards appear in Blizzard’s own examples.

My card is supported — does that mean the game will run well?

No. These are two different thresholds. Blizzard states outright that even its examples of compatible cards stay well below the minimum requirements. Our tool reports both states separately.

My graphics card is not in the list. What does that mean?

Only that we have not added it yet — it is not a rejection. Look up the card’s microarchitecture on the vendor’s site and compare it with the rule: GCN 1, Maxwell, Skylake or newer.

Why is the answer “undetermined” for one model?

Some models shipped with two different chips under a single name; the classic case is the GTX 860M. The answers are opposite, so we ask you to confirm the chip instead of guessing.

What are the other requirements besides the graphics card?

Blizzard published the full requirements separately: the minimum is 4 cores at 3.0 GHz, 8 GB of memory and a 128 GB SSD on 64-bit Windows 10. The official page is linked in the sources below.
