Dota 2 MMR and Rank Calculator
Enter your MMR and see the medal it lands in, how much MMR is left to the next one, and roughly how many wins that is. This is a reconstruction from open sources: Valve publishes neither the formula nor the thresholds.
How we calculate
Medal boundaries come from Liquipedia (fetched live on 2026-08-18): Herald starts at 0, each following medal is a 770 MMR step, Divine is wider (4620-5619), and Immortal starts at 5620 with no upper bound. The source page itself calls these boundaries a community estimate, so we call them an estimate too.
The win count is the distance to the next threshold divided by the average gain per win, which we take as 20-30 MMR per game — that is why the answer is a range. Stars inside a medal are not shown: the source does carry estimates for them, but they are community estimates, not Valve data. Calibration, the seasonal reset and any solo/party difference are not modelled here, because none of them is established.

Questions and answers
Where do the medal thresholds come from?
From open community sources, mainly Liquipedia. Valve does not publish thresholds, so every rank calculator is a reconstruction — including this one.
Why is the win count a range instead of a number?
MMR gain per win is not fixed: it depends on the match composition and on how confident the system is about your rating. We use a plausible band rather than one convenient figure.
Is the solo and party difference accounted for?
No. In 2019 Valve removed the solo/party MMR split and replaced it with Core and Support, so there is no separate field in the calculator. How much the gain per win differs between roles is not established, and we will not invent a coefficient.
Why is my in-game rank different?
The in-game medal also reflects seasonal history and behaviour factors we have no access to. We show an MMR-based estimate, not a copy of what the client draws.
Is this an official Valve calculator?
No. There is no official rank calculator, and we have no access to internal matchmaking data.
