Rockstar Games Launcher

Rockstar Support states directly: a player’s login and password stay the same after the rename. That means no action is required from the player when the service switches to its new name — an account created back under the Social Club brand keeps working with no changes to its login details.
How the two services connect
The Rockstar Games Launcher uses the Rockstar Games account (formerly Social Club) to sign in, save progress to the cloud, and access the game’s online features. These are two different products — the launcher app and the account — but they work together: without signing into the account, part of the Launcher’s functionality (cloud saves, GTA Online access) isn’t available.
