Can my PC run GTA 5
Pick your hardware and see, component by component, whether your PC meets the official minimum and recommended requirements of GTA V Enhanced, the 2025 PC edition.
How we calculate
The requirements come from Rockstar’s official support page on GTA V PC system requirements (the page says last updated 10 December 2025; we opened it on 18 August 2026). We check GTA V Enhanced only — the refreshed 2025 PC edition. The old Legacy requirements are not in our database, so they are not checked here either.
System and video memory, free space, SSD and Windows are compared with Rockstar’s numbers directly. Graphics cards and processors cannot be compared directly, so every model in the requirements — GTX 1630, RX 6400, RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT, Core i5-9600K, Ryzen 5 3600 — is looked up in our hardware database by its exact name, and its class becomes the threshold: your card meets the minimum if its class is not lower than that of a GTX 1630 or RX 6400.
The overall verdict equals the worst component, not the average. The processor is compared the same way as the graphics card: the minimum is the Core i7-4770 / FX-9590 class, the recommended tier is the Core i5-9600K / Ryzen 5 3600 class.

Questions and answers
Are these the GTA V Enhanced or Legacy requirements?
Enhanced — the refreshed 2025 PC edition. Rockstar’s page mentions Legacy too, but our database holds only the Enhanced numbers, so the tool checks those alone and does not make up Legacy requirements.
Can I play GTA V Enhanced from a hard drive?
Not according to the official requirements: the minimum says “105GB SSD Required”, and the recommended tier asks for a DirectStorage-compatible drive. That is why the tool marks an HDD as “below minimum”.
How is the processor checked?
All four processors in the GTA V Enhanced requirements — Intel Core i7-4770 and AMD FX-9590 at the minimum, Core i5-9600K and Ryzen 5 3600 at the recommended tier — are in our hardware database with specs from Intel and AMD pages. A processor of the i5-9600K / Ryzen 5 3600 class or above counts as recommended, of the i7-4770 / FX-9590 class as minimum, and a weaker one as below the minimum. “Not checked” appears only if no processor is chosen.
What does the “class” of a card or processor mean?
It is our editorial 0-5 scale, not a benchmark. RTX 3060 and RX 6600 XT are class 3 on it, GTX 1630 and RX 6400 are class 1. A card Rockstar does not name but which is class 3 or higher counts as recommended — that is our assessment, not Rockstar’s words.
Why does the tool not detect my hardware automatically?
The browser does not report your exact graphics card, and the signals that do exist are fingerprinting surface we deliberately leave alone. Choosing by hand is more accurate and collects nothing about you.
