How to Fish price in 12 countries: from 3.99 dollars
Contents
The same game costs different amounts in different Steam countries. We asked Steam for the How to Fish store entry in twelve regions separately and put the answers in one table.
The price table
| Region | Price | Discount |
|---|---|---|
| United States | $7.99 | 0% |
| United Kingdom | GBP 6.39 | 0% |
| Germany | EUR 7.49 | 0% |
| Poland | 24.99 zl | 0% |
| Ukraine | 159 UAH | 0% |
| Brazil | R$ 23.99 | 0% |
| China | CNY 33.00 | 0% |
| Japan | JPY 880 | 0% |
| Kazakhstan | 2 200 KZT | 0% |
| Russia | 359 RUB | 0% |
| Turkey | $3.99 | 0% |
| Argentina | $3.99 | 0% |
Three things worth noticing
Turkey and Argentina are billed in dollars. Query those two regions and Steam returns the price in US dollars, not in local currency. And the figure is half the American one: 3.99 instead of 7.99. That is not our guess, it is the store literal answer.
There is no discount anywhere. In all twelve regions the discount field reads zero. The game sells at full price.
The launch discount is over. The release announcement on 20 August mentioned 38 percent off for one week. That week has ended and the price is back to base.
Why we do not convert everything into one currency
The obvious thing to expect from a table like this is a “and how much is that in dollars” column. We deliberately left it out.
Converting 2 200 tenge or 33 yuan into dollars requires an exchange rate for a specific date. We did not measure any rates and have no source for them. Writing approximate figures by eye would mean passing a guess off as a fact — exactly what we do not allow ourselves.
So the table holds the same numbers Steam returned, and nothing beyond them.
About changing your store region
The question “can I just buy it cheaper in another region” always comes up. The short answer: a Steam account region is tied to the country of the payment method, and the store rules are set by Valve, not by us. We do not publish instructions for getting around those rules.
What we did not check
These are not all Steam regions. There are several dozen; we took the twelve most illustrative. About the rest we can say nothing.
Prices change. This table was captured on 31 August 2026. The developer may raise the base price, and under Steam rules the game then cannot go on sale for the next 30 days. Before buying, look at the store page rather than at this article.
