Mouse sensitivity in PUBG: cm/360 and the edge of what is known

Work out cm/360, in/360 and eDPI on the CS 2 side, then carry the feel into PUBG by hand. Automatic conversion is off: the PUBG slider coefficient is published nowhere.

The PUBG slider coefficient is not published, so conversion to and from PUBG is disabled. The CS 2 ↔ CS 2 pair below still works — carry the resulting cm/360 into PUBG by feel.

A whole number above zero. There is deliberately no upper limit: no published standard for maximum DPI exists.

CS 2: from 0.01 to 100, step 0.01.

Fill this in if you are switching mice as well. Defaults to the same DPI.

It does not change the turn distance, because the formula uses the absolute value. The box is here so you can see that instead of guessing.

How we calculate

Very little about PUBG is known for certain, and we are not filling the rest in with guesses. The sensitivity slider runs 0–100 with a default of 50, and vertical sensitivity is 70 % of horizontal. Both figures are in the patch notes. What is published nowhere: how many degrees of rotation one slider step produces at a given DPI. Without that number the cm/360 formula cannot be evaluated for PUBG at all.

So the tool on this page works the other way round. Compute cm/360 in a game whose coefficient is known, namely CS 2, then adjust the PUBG slider until a full turn takes the same hand movement. It is slower than one button, but it gives an honest answer instead of a number pulled from thin air. Simplest check: stand at a flat wall, turn all the way round, and see whether you land on the same spot.

cm/360 is 360 ÷ (m_yaw × sensitivity × DPI), converted to centimetres by multiplying by 2.54, where m_yaw for CS 2 is 0.022 degrees per count. That value is precisely what Valve does not publish accessibly, because the developer wiki page returns 403, so we take it from community references and flag it as unconfirmed. eDPI (DPI × sensitivity) stays useful within one game and useless between games.

Why is conversion to PUBG disabled?

Because the number that matters is unknown: how many degrees of rotation one slider step gives. The slider range and the vertical ratio are published; this is not. Open sources do not carry it, and the detailed competitor write-up sits behind a paid subscription. We are not going to invent a coefficient so that a button appears to work.

What is actually known about PUBG sensitivity?

How do I move my CS 2 sensitivity to PUBG, then?

Through cm/360 and feel. Compute cm/360 for your CS 2 setup here, then adjust the PUBG slider until a full turn demands the same hand movement. Check against a fixed point: the turn should bring you back exactly to it.

Can I just use the same eDPI?

No. eDPI carries no game coefficient, so the same figure in CS 2 and PUBG means different turn angles. Comparing eDPI only makes sense between players of the same game.

When will conversion be switched on?

When a source publishes the conversion from a PUBG slider step to degrees per count and we can verify it. Until then the option stays disabled and this note stays on the page.
