GTA Online doesn’t have a single unified “starting bonus.” Instead, there are several separate mechanisms, each officially described by Rockstar, that give a player initial capital. Below are three of them, each confirmed by its own support page.

Career Builder

This is a built-in process for creating a new character on newer platforms.

  • Starting amount: GTA$4,000,000. This money is allocated to property, vehicles, and weapons within your chosen criminal path (Rockstar names four options: Biker, Executive, Gunrunner, Nightclub Owner).
  • Amount carried into the main game: up to GTA$1,000,000. This is the maximum cash you’re allowed to bring with you after finishing Career Builder — the rest stays spent at the setup stage.
  • Availability. Career Builder and its associated bonus are available only once per character.

For more on the process itself and the four paths, see our dedicated piece on Career Builder.

Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack

This is a separate bonus pack officially described by Rockstar Support.

  • Bonus cash: GTA$1,000,000. The money is credited to your Maze Bank account rather than handed over instantly — Rockstar states a delivery window of 7–10 days.
  • Free property, vehicles, and weapons. The pack is included with the Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition and adds a starter set of assets at no extra cost.
  • A one-time deal. This isn’t a recurring payout but a one-time bundle tied to a specific edition of the game.

The monthly GTA+ bonus

The third official money source isn’t one-time — it’s recurring, and it’s tied to an active paid subscription.

  • GTA$500,000 per month is automatically deposited into the Maze Bank account of every GTA+ member, for as long as the subscription stays active.
  • This is part of the broader GTA+ perks package, not a standalone paid option — the monthly payout comes bundled with the subscription’s other benefits.

For the subscription price in Ukraine and its full list of perks, see our piece on the GTA+ subscription.

How these three sources relate to each other

Career Builder is a one-time choice of character direction with a large but capped cash carryover. The Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack is a one-time bonus tied to a game edition. GTA+ is the only one of the three that pays regularly, but only for as long as the subscription is active. These are three different mechanisms with different access conditions, not three options inside one bonus menu — so it’s worth checking availability of each one separately for your own platform and edition.

What is officially not stated

  • Exact weekly or daily bonuses without a subscription. The sources we checked cover only one-time packs and the monthly GTA+ payout — they say nothing about regular free grants without a subscription.
  • Earnings from specific missions or businesses in GTA$/hour. That depends on your character’s level, the activities you choose, and current in-game events — the official sources we checked for this piece don’t give generalized figures.
  • Whether the Career Builder and Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack bonuses stack for a single character. The separate support pages describe each mechanism on its own, without a direct comparison of whether they combine.

Frequently asked questions

How much money does Career Builder give you?

Career Builder allocates GTA$4,000,000 to set up your chosen criminal path. Of that, a maximum of GTA$1,000,000 carries over into GTA Online proper — the rest is spent during Career Builder itself.

What's in the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack?

Per Rockstar's official description, the pack adds GTA$1,000,000 in bonus cash, delivered to your Maze Bank account within 7–10 days, plus free property, vehicles, and weapons.

How much money does a GTA+ subscription give per month?

GTA$500,000 automatically deposited into your Maze Bank account every month — that's an officially confirmed GTA+ subscription perk.

Can you get all three sources at once?

It depends on your platform, your edition of the game, and whether you have an active GTA+ subscription. Career Builder and the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack are separate mechanisms with separate access conditions, not options inside one menu.

Are there daily free money grants in GTA Online without a subscription?

The official articles we checked for this piece describe only the three sources named above. None of them mention any other regular free payouts without a subscription or a special pack.
