Rockstar keeps every official GTA 6 asset in one media kit on its own site — video, clips, screenshots and wallpapers are all free to download, and most sections come as a single zip file. There’s no need to trawl third-party sites: everything the company has shown publicly sits at rockstargames.com/VI/media.
Below is exactly what’s there, how many files sit in each section, how the navigation works, and what’s missing that a lot of people expect to find.
How many files are in each section
As of 28 August 2026, the media kit breaks down like this:
| Section | Files |
|---|---|
| Videos | 3 |
| Clips | 9 |
| Screenshots | 70 |
| Ultimate Edition Benefits | 51 |
| Vintage Vice City Pack | 12 |
| Artwork & Wallpapers | 22 |
That’s the full list. There are no hidden sections you need to “unlock”.
How the navigation is set up
There are six sections but only three separate pages. The media kit has three subsections with their own URLs: Videos, Screenshots, and Artwork & Wallpapers.
Ultimate Edition Benefits and Vintage Vice City Pack don’t have their own addresses — they sit on the Screenshots page, below the main run of seventy frames. So if you’re after pre-order assets and can’t find them in the menu, scroll down the screenshots page instead.
Videos: three assets
The Videos section lists three items:
- Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look
- Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2
- Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1
The official page for the showcase itself is dated 27 August 2026. Rockstar’s own description is brief: the footage is built entirely from in-game capture on PlayStation 5 and shows more of the game than earlier videos did. The company hasn’t published a written, shot-by-shot breakdown of what’s actually in it — so any frame-by-frame “breakdown” you read elsewhere is someone’s interpretation, not a developer statement. You can compare all three official videos side by side in our GTA 6 trailers guide, and see exactly what was shown on 27 August in our An Extended Look news piece.
Clips: cover art animation and eight characters
The nine clips are the Official Cover Art Animation plus eight character videos: Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, Brian Heder.
So every one of the eight characters Rockstar has revealed publicly gets its own short clip. For who they are and how they connect, see our GTA 6 characters guide.
Screenshots: 70 frames, split cleanly in two
The seventy screenshots split neatly into two groups — characters and locations.
36 character frames:
| Character | Frames |
|---|---|
| Jason Duval | 6 |
| Lucia Caminos | 6 |
| Cal Hampton | 4 |
| Boobie Ike | 4 |
| Dre’Quan Priest | 4 |
| Real Dimez | 4 |
| Raul Bautista | 4 |
| Brian Heder | 4 |
34 location frames:
| Location | Frames |
|---|---|
| Vice City | 9 |
| Mount Kalaga National Park | 6 |
| Leonida Keys | 5 |
| Port Gellhorn | 5 |
| Ambrosia | 5 |
| Grassrivers | 4 |
The two leads and Vice City get the most coverage. That’s not a guess — it’s just the arithmetic of the section.
There’s no map of Leonida in the media kit
This is the first thing a lot of people come to this page looking for — and it’s exactly what’s not there.
We went through the full list of all 70 screenshots, all 51 Ultimate Edition Benefits frames and all 12 Vintage Vice City Pack frames. There’s no separate Leonida map image among them — checked on 28 August 2026. That’s a conclusion drawn from the complete file list, not a quick glance at the page.
What this means in practice: any “official GTA 6 map” image you come across isn’t an official Rockstar file — at least not one from this media kit. For what’s actually confirmed about the region, see our GTA 6 map guide.
The closest thing to geography in the media kit is six location postcards among the 22 artworks: Vice City Postcard, Leonida Keys Postcard, Port Gellhorn Postcard, Ambrosia Postcard, Grassrivers Postcard, and Mount Kalaga National Park Postcard. These are stylised postcards, not cartography.
File sizes: where you get a choice and where you don’t
The difference between sections here matters.
| Asset type | Size options |
|---|---|
| Screenshots | 1 size |
| Clips | 1 size |
| Artwork & wallpapers (most) | 6 sizes |
| Logo versions (With Logo, With Logos) | 3 sizes |
| Jason and Lucia 02 | 7 sizes |
So if you want wallpapers to fit a specific screen, go to Artwork & Wallpapers — that’s where the size options actually matter. A screenshot comes exactly as Rockstar uploaded it, with no variants.
Download All: five sections out of six
The Download All button grabs an entire section as a single zip file. It appears on five sections:
- Clips
- Screenshots
- Ultimate Edition Benefits
- Vintage Vice City Pack
- Artwork & Wallpapers
There’s no such button for the Videos section. The three videos are available on their own pages, but there’s no “grab everything in one archive” option the way there is for screenshots.
How to actually use this: step by step
- Go to rockstargames.com/VI/media — that’s the root page with all six sections.
- Work out what you need: moving footage means Clips, static in-game frames mean Screenshots, and a desktop or phone background means Artwork & Wallpapers.
- Looking for edition bonuses or the Vintage Vice City set? Don’t look in the menu — scroll down the Screenshots page instead.
- Need one specific file? Open the item and pick a size (screenshots and clips only have one option; artworks have several).
- Need an entire section? Hit Download All for a zip. Remember Videos doesn’t have this option.
Rights: the file is free, the usage isn’t
Worth being direct about this. The fact that Rockstar lets you download a file with no sign-up and no payment doesn’t make it yours. The assets remain the property of Rockstar Games.
This guide answers exactly one question — where to get the official file from the source — not where to find an image in general. It doesn’t grant, and can’t grant, permission for commercial use: product mockups, advertising, monetised content — that’s a question for the rights holder, not for the media kit.
What we’re not claiming
- That the file list won’t change. It was checked on 28 August 2026; Rockstar could add or remove items later.
- That there will never be an official Leonida map. Our claim is narrower: as of the check date, there isn’t one in any of the media kit sections we reviewed.
- That we know the contents of An Extended Look shot by shot. Rockstar hasn’t published a written breakdown of the showcase, so we won’t attempt to summarise one.
- That these sections cover everything the company has ever shown. We’re describing this specific GTA 6 media kit on the official site — nothing beyond it.
In short
Rockstar’s GTA 6 media kit holds 3 videos, 9 clips, 70 screenshots, 51 Ultimate Edition Benefits frames, 12 Vintage Vice City Pack frames, and 22 artworks and wallpapers; five of the six sections can be grabbed as a single archive via Download All. There’s no official Leonida map image among these files, and the assets themselves remain the property of Rockstar.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I get official GTA 6 screenshots and wallpapers?
On Rockstar's official site, in the Grand Theft Auto VI media section at rockstargames.com/VI/media. The files are free, and no registration is required.
Is there an official map of Leonida in the media kit?
No. The full list of all 70 screenshots, 51 Ultimate Edition Benefits frames and 12 Vintage Vice City Pack frames contains no separate map image — checked on 28 August 2026.
Can you download a whole section as one archive?
Yes. The Download All button appears on five sections: Clips, Screenshots, Ultimate Edition Benefits, Vintage Vice City Pack, and Artwork & Wallpapers. The Videos section has no such button.
What sizes are the files available in?
All screenshots and all clips come from Rockstar in a single size. Artworks and wallpapers offer more than one: most items have 6 sizes, versions with a logo have 3 sizes, and Jason and Lucia 02 has 7 sizes.
Can these assets be used commercially?
This guide only covers where to get the official file. The assets remain the property of Rockstar Games, and being freely downloadable doesn't grant permission for commercial use.
How many videos are in the Videos section?
Three: Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2, and Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 1.
