Updated 28 August 2026, after the An Extended Look show. The show brought no new names: the Only in Leonida page still holds the same eight cards, and Rockstar has published no official written text introducing new characters. More — our breakdown of the show. Rockstar has published neither a press-release character list nor a full cast. But the official Only in Leonida page has a People section — eight cards with biographies. That is the only official source on GTA 6’s characters to date.

Below is each bio retold in our own words, split into what is said and what is not. We do not reproduce the characters’ quoted lines: each of them has a short quote on Rockstar’s site, and it is worth reading in the original at the link above.

Jason and Lucia — the pair the story rests on

The official game description frames the setup like this: Jason and Lucia have a job that was supposed to be easy — and it goes wrong. After that they find themselves inside a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida, forced to rely on each other more than ever.

That is everything officially known about the plot. Rockstar has not described the ending, the mission structure, or whether you can switch between the two.

Jason Duval

Rockstar presents Jason as someone who wants a quiet life and keeps failing to get one. The key facts from his bio:

  • he grew up around grifters and petty criminals — that environment was there from childhood;
  • after a troubled adolescence he served for a time in the army;
  • he now lives in the Leonida Keys and works for local drug runners.

So Jason is not a newcomer being pulled into crime; he is someone who has been in it his whole life and is trying to get out.

Lucia Caminos

Lucia’s bio is built around family:

  • her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk;
  • a fight over family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary, the state prison;
  • she got out, in the official phrasing, through pure luck rather than any lawful route;
  • her mother dreamed of a better life back when the family lived in Liberty City.

That last detail is the only official link between GTA 6 and earlier games in the series among the published bios. Liberty City is the setting of GTA III and GTA IV.

Jason’s circle: the Keys

Brian Heder

An old-school drug runner, one of those who worked back in the “golden age” of smuggling in the Keys. He owns a boat yard. He is on his third marriage, to a woman named Lori. Jason lives in one of his properties rent-free — but not for nothing: in exchange he collects debts from the locals.

That is the single most important detail in the whole bio, because it explains why Jason is involved in local business at all.

Cal Hampton

Jason’s friend and another of Brian’s people. Rockstar describes him outright as paranoid: Cal listens in on Coast Guard radio chatter. The bio presents this as a character trait, not a job.

The Vice City circle: music and money

Boobie Ike

A Vice City legend. His empire covers three lines of business at once: real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Together with Dre’Quan he founded the label Only Raw Records. Per the official description, his business is structured so that one arm funds the next.

Dre’Quan Priest

Went from street dealer to music producer. He is the one who signed the duo Real Dimez and the one who brings artists into Boobie’s club. Effectively the operational link between Vice City’s music and its money.

Real Dimez

A female rap duo: Bae-Luxe and Roxy. Friends since school. Their first big track was recorded with a local rapper going by DWNPLY. Five years after that they signed to Only Raw Records.

This is the only case where Rockstar gives characters a timeline — “five years” between the first hit and the contract.

Raul Bautista

An experienced bank robber who recruits people for his jobs. The bio emphasises exactly that: experience and adaptability. For the story it means the most obvious thing possible — somewhere in this game there is a bank robbery with a crew.

What Rockstar has NOT said

This matters more than the list above, because this is where fake “leaks” are born:

  • there is no antagonist among the eight bios — not one of the characters introduced is presented as an enemy;
  • the voice cast is not named — not a single name;
  • no character-switching mechanic is described on the pages we checked;
  • nothing is said about who survives or whether the game has multiple endings;
  • nothing says all eight are story characters; some may turn out to be episodic.

Any article asserting anything from this list as fact is not relying on Rockstar.

What the An Extended Look show delivered

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look aired on 27 August 2026. It added no new names: the Only in Leonida page holds the same eight character cards as before, and Rockstar has published no official written text introducing new ones. The list above remains complete. What the show did and did not change is in our breakdown.

In short

  • Officially introduced: 8 cards and 9 people (Real Dimez is a duo).
  • Jason comes from a criminal world and wants out; Lucia came out of prison, where a fight over family put her.
  • Brian Heder keeps Jason on the hook through rent-free housing.
  • Vice City is presented through the music business: Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan, Real Dimez.
  • The antagonist, the voice cast and the protagonist mechanics are officially NOT named.

Frequently asked questions

How many characters has Rockstar officially introduced?

Eight entries on the Only in Leonida page: Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, the duo Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Real Dimez is two people, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, so that is nine people in total.

Can you play as both Jason and Lucia?

On the pages we checked — the official game page and Only in Leonida — no character-switching mechanic is described at all. Rockstar calls them a pair whose shared risk holds the story together, but how that works in gameplay has not been explained officially.

Who is the main villain in GTA 6?

Unknown. There is no antagonist among the eight official bios — every character introduced belongs to Jason and Lucia's circle. The official description mentions a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state, but does not say who is behind it.

Is GTA 6 connected to earlier games in the series?

There is one direct reference: Lucia's bio says her mother dreamed of a better life back when the family lived in Liberty City — the city from GTA III and GTA IV. It is the only official bridge to earlier games in the published bios.

Who voices Jason and Lucia?

Rockstar has not named the voice cast. There are no actor names on the game page or in the bios, and the studio historically announces casts late or not at all.
