Update 7.41f came out on 2026-09-15 and touched 35 heroes and 16 items. The version number is 7.41f, listed officially as “7.41f Gameplay Patch”.

The main thread running through this patch is gold and regeneration: several popular builds got pricier at the final-recipe stage, and two sources of mana regen got weaker. Below is a step-by-step check of what actually affects you; each step ends with a condition that tells you when you’ve covered it. What follows is a selection — the full list is in the source.

1. Confirm you’re actually on 7.41f

Before you start rewriting builds, check your version. The changes below apply to exactly 7.41f and nothing else: the numbers from the previous version no longer work in-game, while guides written for it will keep circulating online for a while as if still current. You can check the release date and the full list of points on the patch page.

Step done when you see version 7.41f in the client, not the previous update’s number — we’ve covered that one separately, in the patch 7.41e breakdown.

2. Recalculate your gold for items that got more expensive

Four items got pricier. Three of them because of their recipe, the fourth as a knock-on effect from Dragon Lance.

Item Recipe Total cost
Daedalus from 900 to 1000 from 5100 to 5200
Dragon Lance from 450 to 550 from 1900 to 2000
Heart of Tarrasque from 700 to 800 from 5200 to 5300
Hurricane Pike no separate recipe change from 4450 to 4550

Hurricane Pike got more expensive precisely because Dragon Lance did — that’s stated directly in the patch notes.

Step done when you’ve recalculated your usual timings for these items against the new totals and know how many extra creeps, or how many extra seconds on the lane, you now need.

3. Account for the one price drop — Heaven’s Halberd

There’s only one move in the opposite direction in this selection. Heaven’s Halberd’s recipe dropped from 450 to 350, and its total cost from 3400 to 3300. For positions that build this item as an answer to an enemy physical carry, the entry threshold is now lower.

Step done when you’ve compared Heaven’s Halberd’s new cost against whatever you’d normally buy instead at the same stage, and decided whether the hundred gold changes your pick.

4. Review your mana-regen sources

Two items that give a bonus to mana regeneration were weakened.

  • Infused Raindrops — Mana Regen bonus reduced from +0.8 to +0.6.
  • Essence Distiller — Mana Regen bonus reduced from +1.75 to +1.5.

This hits hardest for players who held the lane through frequent spell use and covered the cost with exactly these items.

Step done when you’ve checked in practice whether you still have enough mana for the same trades on the lane as before the patch, and whether you now need to base more often.

5. Battle Fury chops trees more often

Chop Tree’s cooldown was cut from 4 to 3 seconds. It’s a small change on paper, but it affects an active ability you press constantly while farming — both for cutting through the jungle and for clearing obstacles between yourself and a target.

Step done when you’ve run your usual farming route and noticed you can chop trees more often than before.

6. Bane and Lina: a hit to base stats

Two heroes had their base stats cut, not their abilities.

  • Bane — base armour reduced by 1.
  • Lina — base intelligence reduced from 30 to 28.

For Bane, it shows up in early lane trades; for Lina, in her starting mana pool and in damage that scales off her primary attribute.

Step done when you’ve looked at these heroes’ stats in-game at level one and seen the new values, not the ones you remember.

7. Mirana: charges take longer to refresh

Base charge restore time increased from 6 to 7 seconds. One extra tick of waiting means fewer stored charges by a given point in the fight — and this is the first timing table you’ll need to rewrite if you play Mirana regularly.

Step done when you’ve recalculated how many charges you’ll have by your usual moment of engaging a fight, and found that the number has changed.

8. Anti-Mage: more damage from burned mana

The share of burned mana converted into damage rose from 60% to 65%. The amount of mana burned itself hasn’t changed here — only the share of it that turns into damage. For the laning phase and for trades against heroes with a large mana pool, this is a straight buff; for the full hero rundown, see our Anti-Mage guide.

Step done when you’ve checked in-game against a high-mana target that your passive’s damage is higher than your usual estimate.

9. Shadow Fiend: a different damage-per-soul formula

What changed here isn’t a coefficient — it’s the underlying structure. Damage per soul used to be calculated as 1.35 plus 0.15 per hero level. Now it’s 1 plus 0.8 per 6 levels. The starting value is lower, and the growth no longer scales smoothly with every level — it now steps up at specific thresholds. That means you can’t eyeball your power “by level” anymore: what matters isn’t the level itself, but whether you’ve crossed the next threshold. General hero play is covered in our Shadow Fiend guide.

Step done when you’ve compared your damage per soul before and after a threshold and can see the difference between the old smooth growth and the new step.

10. Work through the rest of the list yourself

Everything above is a selection. The patch touched 35 heroes and 16 items, so most points didn’t make it into this piece, and we’re not claiming there’s nothing significant outside this selection. What we’re equally not claiming: how these changes will affect the meta, which heroes will end up stronger, or whether the next update will revise anything listed here — the developer hasn’t said. The full list sits in the original source, and we track the history of previous changes in our updates and patches section.

Step done when you’ve gone through the official list for the heroes you actually pick in ranked games and noted the changes that aren’t in this piece.
