Most Common GTA 5 Enhanced Steam Achievements
Contents
The most common achievement in Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is “Off the Plane”: 68.2% of players have it. Next in line is “American Dream” (64.3%), and the rest of the widely-held achievements sit somewhere between 46.6% and 26.6%. The game has 77 Steam achievements in total, so even the most popular one belongs to fewer than three-quarters of owners.
Below is a breakdown of the achievements nearly everyone who plays regularly ends up with: what the official description actually requires, and how rare the percentage makes each one.
Where to check your own progress on Steam
This trips people up constantly, because Steam shows two different things in two different places:
- Your personal progress. Open your Steam library, go to the Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced page — there’s an achievements section marking what you’ve unlocked and what you haven’t.
- Overall stats across all players. That’s a separate page: GTA V Enhanced achievement statistics. That’s where Valve shows what share of game owners have unlocked each achievement. Every percentage in this piece comes from there.
Worth noting: the percentage on the stats page isn’t a Rockstar-assigned “difficulty” rating. It’s simply an observed fact about the people who bought the game. The game’s official page lives on the publisher’s site — rockstargames.com/gta-v — and it carries no achievement difficulty ratings at all.
How to read the percentage
The logic is simple. A high-percentage achievement sits early on the natural path most players take — they get it without setting out to. A lower percentage means the requirement takes either a longer playthrough or a deliberate action a player has to choose to pursue.
The achievements below are grouped by what they require, not alphabetically and not strictly by percentage.
GTA Online: first steps
The two most common achievements in the game are both about starting multiplayer.
“Off the Plane” — 68.2%. Official requirement: complete the GTA Online introduction. It’s the very first thing a player sees on entering multiplayer, which is why it leads the pack. In effect, its percentage shows how many owners have opened GTA Online at all.
“American Dream” — 64.3%. The official description requires owning an apartment, a garage, and insured transport in GTA Online at the same time. The gap from the previous achievement is small: most players who complete the intro also get as far as their first property and vehicle.
Steam only gives you the wording of the requirement — it doesn’t explain where to buy property or how to arrange insurance. If you’re just starting out, see our general guide to getting started in GTA Online.
GTA Online: ranks
Two achievements are tied directly to your multiplayer character rank.
“Three-Bit Gangster” — 44.5%. Requirement: reach rank 25.
“Making Moves” — 34.5%. Requirement: reach rank 50.
These two are the most transparent to read: the gap between them is exactly the share of players who don’t make it from the first rank threshold to the second. Neither needs anything special beyond time spent in sessions. How much time exactly, Rockstar doesn’t say, and neither will we.
GTA Online: specific in-session situations
These three aren’t something you get “just by playing” — they need a specific situation to happen.
“Run Like The Wind” — 36.0%. Requirement: survive a day with a bounty on your head. In other words, this achievement assumes someone’s already put a bounty on you, and you have to live through it.
“Decorated” — 29.7%. Requirement: earn 30 platinum awards. This is the slowest to accumulate of the ones covered here: platinum awards build up gradually, across different types of activities.
“Clean Sweep” — 26.6%. Requirement: complete a Gang Attack without dying and kill at least 10 enemies. The rarest achievement on this list — and the only one that requires not dying at all.
Where to find Gang Attacks, exactly how platinum awards are counted, and what affects your bounty — the official descriptions don’t say. This is a statement of the requirement, not a walkthrough.
The achievement without a GTA Online tag
“Pimp My Sidearm” — 41.0%. Requirement: fully modify a weapon. Unlike everything else covered here, its official description carries no GTA Online tag — Rockstar worded the requirement without tying it to a mode. What exactly counts as “fully” modified, the description doesn’t detail.
Two achievements with no description
“Welcome to Los Santos” — 46.6% and “Be Prepared” — 41.3%.
By percentage, these are firmly mainstream achievements — “Welcome to Los Santos” is even more common than reaching rank 25. But the Steam stats page doesn’t show their descriptions. So the honest version is: these achievements exist, here’s how many players have them, and the official wording of the requirement isn’t available in the source we can check. Fan wikis and video guides aren’t a source here — we’re not repeating their claims.

What this means for you
If you’re looking at your own list and see “Off the Plane” and “American Dream” but nothing rank-related, you’re in a completely typical spot — most players stall out right around there. The cheapest way to push the list further isn’t chasing any one achievement, it’s just more time in multiplayer: rank thresholds and platinum awards close themselves out.
“Clean Sweep” stands apart: it’s the only one on this list that needs deliberate care rather than accumulation. That’s exactly why it’s the rarest one here.
For the full list of all 77 achievements, see our separate guide to GTA 5 Steam achievements. The other end of the statistics — the achievements only a tiny fraction of players hold — is covered in our piece on the rarest achievements. What we won’t claim
⚠️ A few things we don’t know, and won’t fill in for you:
- How long any of these achievements take. Rockstar doesn’t say, and you won’t find “a couple of evenings”-style estimates here.
- The exact steps to meet the requirement. Steam only gives you the wording of what has to happen, not a walkthrough. Where Gang Attacks are located, which weapon mods count, how platinum awards get tallied — the official description is silent on all of it.
- The requirements for “Welcome to Los Santos” and “Be Prepared.” The Steam stats page doesn’t show a description for either — that’s the extent of what we can say.
- Whether the percentages change. This is live Steam data, tallied across game owners, and it can differ from what you see on the stats page today.
- Whether the percentage measures difficulty. It measures prevalence. A rare achievement can simply be overlooked rather than hard.
In short
The most common GTA 5 Enhanced achievements are about starting GTA Online: “Off the Plane” (68.2%) and “American Dream” (64.3%); prevalence then drops down to 26.6% for “Clean Sweep.” Steam only gives you the requirement and the percentage of players who hold it — not a guide to how to get there.

"Off the Plane" — 68.2% of players have unlocked it. The official requirement is straightforward: complete the GTA Online introduction.
How many achievements does GTA 5 Enhanced have in total?
77 Steam achievements. The common ones covered here are only a small slice of that list.

Open the GTA 5 Enhanced page in your Steam library — there's an "Achievements" section showing your personal progress. A separate Steam stats page shows the overall percentage across all owners.
Can you get the most common achievements in single-player?
Rockstar tags most of them as GTA Online — they're tied to multiplayer. The exception among the ones covered here is "Pimp My Sidearm," whose description carries no GTA Online tag.
