On 15 July 2026, GTA Online got The Kortz Center Heist — a new heist on an art centre in Los Santos.
The developer published the patch notes through its official channel on Steam. Below is what they say, put into plain words, and separately, what they don’t say.
Two sections in the notes
The official notes are split into two parts: “TAKE DOWN THE KORTZ CENTER” and “ADDITIONS & RENOVATIONS”. The first covers the heist itself, the second covers the related Mansion additions. Here’s both, in order.
What Kortz Center is
Kortz Center is a venue in Los Santos for the most lavish high-society parties. It also houses some of the world’s most expensive and provocative artwork. Now the centre is your target: you’re after the lucrative treasures from its current exhibition.
Inside Kortz Center stands the Bell Building, home to the Albert Crisp Collection: a curated set of fine art ranging from exotic antiquities to works by contemporary masters. Mr. Faber’s clientele aren’t interested in the whole collection, only in a rotating set of Primary Targets kept in the Center’s vault — pieces too rare and prized to display to the public.
How the heist works
To reach the treasures in the vault, you have to get past state-of-the-art defences: security teams, CCTV cameras and intersecting laser tripwires. How you scope out these measures and plan your approach is entirely up to you. Professional hustler Raf De Angelis helps out during prep, staying in your ear while you get ready to pull off a classy art theft.
The Primary Target isn’t the only prize. The vault and displays inside the Bell Building also hold optional Secondary Targets that pad out your final take. Grabbing them means infiltrating the Center’s security even further — some need extra crew members and more bag space to carry the haul out intact.
After the theft, you decide what happens to the Primary Target: sell it, or keep it and display it inside your Mansion.
Art Studio: your base for the heist
To organise The Kortz Center Heist at all, your Mansion needs a new space: the Art Studio. It serves as your base of operations for this heist. Once it’s built, expert counterfeiter Yong-Rae starts crafting convincing replicas to swap in for your Primary Targets, so Kortz Center staff never notice.
Gear builds up inside the Art Studio as you work through prep and planning, and each crew member picks their own loadout for the Finale.
You need the Art Studio to host and launch the heist, but you can join someone else’s crew as a member without owning a Mansion yourself. Putting a team together is entirely optional — you can run the whole heist solo. But teaming up unlocks a Secondary Target room that solo players can’t reach, and more duffel bags mean a bigger maximum take.
Mansion upgrades that help in the Finale
A fully upgraded Mansion gives you an edge during the heist’s Finale:

Properties bought earlier help too:

- An Agency, the Darnell Bros. Garment Factory, or a Terrorbyte grant extra time to steal the Primary Target painting from the vault.
- An Arcade Drone Station makes its Nano Drones available during the Finale.
What the notes don’t say
The developer didn’t state the cost of the Art Studio or the Mansion upgrades, the size of the heist’s payout, how many crew members you need, or a separate release date for different platforms. None of that is in the official notes, so we’re not making numbers up on the developer’s behalf.
