More has been written about GTA 6 than is actually known about it. So this page is built differently from a normal article: it is a status table. Each row is one fact and an answer to a single question: is this official or not.

The claim that the map is 2.4 times bigger than GTA 5’s deserves a separate note: the multiplier has nothing to multiply. Rockstar never published GTA 5’s area either.

The age rating is a special case

What has still not been announced?

The next date is 27 August 2026, the Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look showing. It is the first major official material since the second trailer, so some rows currently marked not announced may change.
