Story mode: two achievements about full completion

Gold Rush — 2.0% of players. The official condition: earn 70 gold medals in story missions. A gold medal is the highest rating you can get for completing a mission, and the description asks for exactly that number of them. Steam doesn’t explain how to earn a gold medal on any specific mission — it only states the condition.

Best in the West — 2.8% of players. The condition is as short as it gets: reach 100% game completion. The official description doesn’t break down what counts towards that 100% — it’s a single line with no further detail. We won’t fill in Rockstar’s checklist for them.

Both achievements belong to the category where the percentage speaks for itself: this isn’t a one-off action, it’s a game state reached after a very long stretch of play. Side activities: bears, bounties, and one with no description

Grin and Bear it — 1.6% of players. The official condition: survive 18 bear attacks and kill the bear each time, in Story Mode. In other words, a dead bear alone doesn’t count — it has to be the “attack survived, animal killed” pairing, and that has to happen 18 times. Bountiful — 1.8% of players. The official condition: hold out for 3 days with a $250 bounty on your head in every state. Two requirements at once here: the bounty amount has to be exactly that in each state, and that state has to be maintained for the given time. It’s Art — 1.6% of players. Here we’re being upfront: Steam’s stats page doesn’t show a description for this achievement. All we know is the name and the percentage. What the game actually counts as fulfilling the condition can’t be established from our source, and we’re not going to make one up.

Red Dead Online: five achievements with the lowest percentages

Half the list comes from the online component, and it shows in the percentages. The official descriptions for these achievements explicitly start with a “Red Dead Online” label, meaning they can’t be closed out without going online.

• The Real Deal — 1.2%. Become MVP 3 times, in a session with at least 4 players. The player-count requirement is part of the official description, not something we’ve added.
• Non-Regulation — 1.8%. Craft 25 units of ammunition. Per the description, this is a purely cumulative condition.

• Eventful — 2.6%. Play 5 Free Roam Events.
• All’s Fair — 2.8%. Successfully counter a Free Roam mission from a rival Posse.
